August 23, 2025 Leave a Comment

Hello again, everyone! It’s been a while. I have no real excuse other than it has been a rough 6 or so months, but things are getting better. So many of you have come here and have enjoyed the first 50 conversation starters, so here are another 50 more to keep you going!

These questions go a little bit deeper than the first list of 50 questions – which is perfect for if you’ve already gone through the first list (which I’m sure you already have).

  2. Did anything unexpected happen today that you didn’t text me about?
  3. What’s one small thing that made your day better?
  4. If you had to give today a rating out of 10, what would it be?
  5. Who did you talk to the most today (besides me)?

  4. Do you think you’re more of a short-term or long-term planner?
  5. What is one tradition you’d love for us to create together in the future?
  6. Do you ever dream about us? What’s the last one you remember?
  7. Do you think we’d be splurgers or savers if we lived together right now?

Funny & Lighthearted

  1. What’s the most random YouTube/TikTok rabbit hole you’ve ever gone down?
  2. If you could only eat one candy/snack for the rest of your life, what would it be?
  3. What’s the strangest autocorrect your phone has ever done?
  4. If you had to wear the same outfit every day for a year, what would you choose?
  5. What’s the dumbest inside joke you’ve ever had with someone?
  6. What’s the funniest “lost in translation” moment you’ve ever had?

Nostalgia Round

  1. Did you ever have a “forbidden” TV show or game growing up?
  2. What’s a song that instantly takes you back to your teenage years?
  3. Did your family have any weird house rules?
  4. What was your very first job (or chore you got paid for)?
  5. Did you ever try to start a trend at school?
  6. What childhood snack or drink would you introduce me to if we could go back in time?
  7. What’s a smell that instantly takes you back to a memory?

Relationship Building

  1. What’s one thing I do that always makes you laugh?
  2. What is something small I’ve done that you’ve never forgotten?
  3. What’s your favorite way we’ve handled an argument or misunderstanding?
  4. What’s a “couple goal” you secretly want us to achieve?
  5. What’s one memory with me you wish you could relive?
  6. When was the last time you caught yourself smiling because of us?
  7. If our relationship has a mascot, what would it be and why?

Hypotheticals & “What Ifs” (Round Two)

  4. If our lives were a TV show, what genre would it be?
  5. What if we could only communicate through memes — how would we do?
  6. Would you rather relive one memory with me forever, or get a sneak peek at a future moment?
  7. Would you rather spend a day together at our first meeting or at our wedding day?
  8. If we swapped phones for a day, what app would surprise me the most on yours?

Pop Culture & Media

  1. If you could delete one movie or show from your memory to watch it for the first time again, which one would it be?
  2. Which fictional couple reminds you of us (in a good or bad way)?
  3. If our relationship was a playlist, what three songs absolutely have to be on it?
  4. What book or show do you think everyone overhypes?
  5. If you could cameo in any TV show, which would you pick?

Interactive Prompts

  1. Let’s invent a ridiculous holiday together — what’s it called and how do we celebrate?
  2. Let’s make up a “couple handshake” over video call.
  3. Pick one random word, and let’s both come up with a 2-minute story using it.
  4. Let’s do a 5-question “rapid-fire trivia” — winner gets bragging rights.
  5. Describe your perfect date with me in emojis only.

I hope that you all have enjoyed these questions. If you haven’t checked out the first 50 questions, make sure to check them out here!

Have you tried any of the questions in the last post? Do you have a favorite question not listed? Drop a comment below, and maybe it’ll make it into part three!

Until next time.

With love from abroad, Cat

About Me

Hello!

Hi, I'm Cat! I'm in a long distance relationship with a merchant mariner from the Netherlands. I'm hoping that by sharing my story, I'll find others who are the other half in a seafarer relationship and give hope to those in long distance relationships.
